Hello, everybody! Yes, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted something on the blog (though my Instagram is getting a little TLC). Since the new year began, I took a nice month-long holiday, went on (and am currently still on) a diet, got some new wardrobe staples, started doing some curriculum planning for the job…it’s been a lot. And NOW, I’m about to give this blog a much-needed remodel!

Seoul Fashion Week is coming up fast, and it is my mission to get this baby up-and-running by the last week of the month, so hang in there with me and stay tuned! In the meantime, keep up with me on my Instagram and InstaStory!

“Yeah, I said it!!”

I love glasses. I’ve been wearing them for 20 years, and while I have toyed with the idea of getting LASIK multiple times, I just love the fashion aspect of glasses too much to give them up entirely; I’ve also never really been keen on wearing prescription-free eyeglasses as I think it’s kind of corny.

Hello, everyone! Recently there was a three-day weekend here in Korea, and I took advantage of the extra day to finally stay at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul!

Just down the street from the Nature + the City event was 541Lab, a boutique that houses Hiphoper, an urban fashion line, and just happens to also house a cafe.

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to pass by the Kiehl’s Nature + the City exhibit as I was headed to lunch with Lauren. It was held in FIFTY FIFTY, an exhibition space tucked into a side street near Garosugil.

On May 25th the Conrad Hotel in Seoul opened its anticipated outdoor bar/restaurant called VVertigo (yes, with two V’s, if you follow the SNS adverts). If you all have read my Lux Staycation entries then you know that I adore this hotel. So for my friend Star’s birthday, we decided to take a trip to VVertigo and see if this newcomer lived up to the hype.

Last week, my friend Star and I decided to go to the Chanel pop up store which was built up in Gangnam in a flurry of steel and colorful panels. We had to go online and apply for a date and time to enter the store a week beforehand, and we only got the address 24 hours in advance. So, of course, the anticipation was high.

Hello everyone! Long time, no see!

After being bogged down by sickness and tons of work, I’m finally able to post here for you all, and, boy, is this one a doozy! This post — or these posts…I haven’t quite decided yet — are going to be an undertaking just because I saw and did a good bit!

Most Koreans here are very diligent in their skincare; so diligent, in fact, that the routine is something that is implemented early in age, way before we Westerners even think of trying to take any kind of care of our skin (as far as anti-aging goes).
