Last week, my friend Star and I decided to go to the Chanel pop up store which was built up in Gangnam in a flurry of steel and colorful panels. We had to go online and apply for a date and time to enter the store a week beforehand, and we only got the address 24 hours in advance. So, of course, the anticipation was high.
Upon entering we were assaulted by color and Chanel products. Everything touchable was able to be sampled: lipsticks, nail polish, highlighters, eyeshadow palettes…you name it, you could sample it. They even had makeup artists there for visitors.
One half of the store was dedicated to makeup while the other half was dedicated to perfumes. There was also an outdoor area complete with topiaries, and Star and I made sure to take tons of pictures.
Barring the visit to the outdoor area it took about 30 minutes to wind our way through the store: it was pretty small. Also, there wasn’t an option to buy any Chanel products onsite, so I had to make sure to record anything that I was even remotely interested in researching. But, all in all, it was a good time!
