Last month, I had the amazing opportunity to attend a pretty ground-breaking event organized and hosted my best blogger friend Star of 87pages: Seoul’s first-ever k-beauty event for global influencers, also known as the Seoul Blogger Brunch.
Thursday was my first real day at Seoul Fashion Week, which is when I quickly learned that putting in a full-time effort being “on” and present there after being “on” and present at my full-time job at school is actually kind of tough. But I put my game face on, put my outfit on, and trudged out into the heavily polluted day to take on Seoul Fashion Week.
This season of Seoul Fashion Week brought in quite a few surprises: I was approved for a press pass (…what), I’m went to even more shows than I thought I would (…what what), I got a totally look-changing haircut and dye job (both unexpected, so WHAT)…and I got invites to a couple of offshows this season, which I normally don’t go for! Last night, I went to my very first offshow (which was also my first show for Fashion Week), which was presented by BNB12.
Hello, everybody! Yes, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted something on the blog (though my Instagram is getting a little TLC). Since the new year began, I took a nice month-long holiday, went on (and am currently still on) a diet, got some new wardrobe staples, started doing some curriculum planning for the job…it’s been a lot. And NOW, I’m about to give this blog a much-needed remodel!
Seoul Fashion Week is coming up fast, and it is my mission to get this baby up-and-running by the last week of the month, so hang in there with me and stay tuned! In the meantime, keep up with me on my Instagram and InstaStory!
A couple of weekends ago my running partner Star, of 87pages fame, invited me and a few other bloggers to an event being hosted at the Sool Gallery (전통주 갤러리) in Insadong. I’d gone with my dude a while ago, on Star’s recommendation, and we had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, so I was looking forward to another trip.
I love glasses. I’ve been wearing them for 20 years, and while I have toyed with the idea of getting LASIK multiple times, I just love the fashion aspect of glasses too much to give them up entirely; I’ve also never really been keen on wearing prescription-free eyeglasses as I think it’s kind of corny.
